Christmas is stressful enough as it is, but to top it off, this year I am trying to publish a book, edit three books and manage all the giveaways and mail that comes with being an author. Oh, yeah, and my husband started a new job where he gets to work from home, so I have to put up with him 24/7 now. I'm only complaining about the husband part though. ;) Because the truth of it is that I LOVE to be busy! I hate being bored. I like feeling like I am going insane. Yeah, I am insane.
Jennifer L. Armentrout is giving away 3 copies of Opal! Can't wait to read this book!
Follow link above for an awesome giveaway!
Excuse the butt shot at the top. Hubby got carried away. Just wanted to show the back of my shirt for my costume. And yeah, I'm proud of the fact that I still have my bondage belt from when I was 15 and that's how I dressed on a daily basis! lol!
The middle pic is my hubby (avatar), his prego sister (woopie cushion), and my kids and nephews! I love this gang. The bottom pic is me thinking it's funny that my daughter was crying in fear of the haunted house behind us. Too funny! She acts so brave most of the time, trying to be strong around a bunch of boys (poor thing is the only girl (right now) in a family with 11 boy cousins (I think, I lost count)!
I have been reading my butt off this summer. I don't think I've ever devoured so many books. It's so bad, my husband is calling me an addict. Oh well. We all have our vices. Some clean, some drink, some smoke, I read. No harm, no foul. and my house is nice and tidy with no clutter or dirty anywhere. Not even a dirty dish in the sink. He's addicted to sitting in front of the television and watching re-runs, so who is he to talk.
Back to the point. I wanted to share some great authors I've recently read that can't write a bad book. So if anyone is interested, here is a list:
I've been visiting family in Virginia and trying (emphasis on trying) to entertain the kids during summer break. Due to that I have not been working on the books, which is a huge bummer to me BUT school starts in less than two weeks! I am so excited! I feel guilty. Not really! I can't wait to have the computer ALL to myself, no interruptions for 8 hours a day/ 5 days a week. I know I can finish the second book in a week (I don't have that much to go) and I can't wait to finish the whole series to start ALL the other books I have outlined. Being on vacation didn't give me ANY time to write but ALOT of time to outline new ideas for books and I am so excited to start them!
Ugh! Wanting to write right now but house is trashed! Not really but I do need to do a thorough clean up. Going to Virginia next week to visit the family! Yipee! Have to travel, alone, with too kids! Boohoo!
When would be a good time to pack? hmm... I'll do that
An American Bald Eagle that landed in a tree, practically in our backyard. He wandered around our house for weeks. So beautiful.
Aaron, my husband, caught this awesome lightening bolt this past summer! I love storms. There aren't enough of them around here. :(
