"Cole traps me against the piano, his arms braced against it on either side of me, creating a cage. He leans into me and stares into my eyes for several moments before leaning in more and running his lips against my jaw line.
I melt into him as he whispers in my ear, “You look really, really, beautiful today.” He continues his kisses down to my shoulders and collarbone, removing the sweater I had on. I feel paralyzed. I’ve never been kissed by a guy this way and if I move I will melt into the ground and the only thing holding me up right now is him and the piano.
“I think you should get dressed, because I do not feel in control of myself around you ..""

Wow! I really can't wait to see where Kristin takes this series!!! It is definitely different than what I've read before, a VERY good different I might add! I really enjoyed this book and was very happy to be able to review it for Kristin. I was hooked from the beginning of this book and had a hard time putting it down. I loved how the author took time unraveling all the details but kept it so interesting you just couldn't put it down, I do wish it wouldnt have taken soo long but I cant complain when you read about Cole ( yummy). It was one of those books you got to the end and went "OMG this cant be over" double checked it was for sure over and then your searching for when book two comes out! I really love the love story she has building between Cole and Lexis, I can't wait to find out what happens further in that! I also really liked all the characters, the story line was great, and I really think this will make a great series! My only complaint was some of the mistakes and that it wouldn't have taken so long to get to the details, it would've been nice to know more in the first book! That being said I give it 4 out 5 stars (cole <3) and I will be waiting on book 2!! Can't wait!

I wasn't entirely sure what I thought about before I started this book what I thought. I absolutely love the cover, I think it's so beautiful. The synopsis wasn't much to go on, so I wasn't entirely sure if I would like this book. However, considering I got this book as a review request I decided to just go for it.
I am happy to report that although I had previous skepticism I absolutely fell in love with this book. Once I started it, I just could not put it down. Honestly one of my favorite books this year.
Kristen Campbell wrote extremely realistic characters, as well as an extremely realistic world. I have to say I've never read a story quite like this one. I feel as if she completely twisted what has been done with angel stories and completely redid them. Although Lunangelique is the first book in the series, it wasn't just an introduction into the characters and supernatural world. From the first page readers will be thrust-ed into Lexie's world. Explanations aren't all inner dialogue, they're explained naturally with the story.
I truly fell in love with Lexie's character. You know in some books, where it's painfully obvious what creatures the other people are, or even if it's not painfully obvious in the beginning but there are clues. Then the main character just says it's nothing and when she finally finds out it's this huge shock? Well Lexie is not like that character, and Lunangelique is nothing like that book. Lexie knows there is something going on a few chapters in. Lexi is an extremely likeable character. She's a funny character, strong, independent, thoughtful of others, and when she gets a boyfriend although she does spend a lot of time with him, she also finds time to spend with her friends.
Speaking of Lexie's boyfriend, he is a serious hottie, hunk of a swoon worthy man. Seriously when Lexie first saw him, and started describing him I'm pretty sure I was drooling...a lot. Not good when my boyfriend was sitting in the room with me. He's completely sweet, and adorable. He brings Lexie flowers, and isn't a complete horn dog. The cute couple do actually go on a lot of dates too which was awesome, as well as hang out with her family.
Needless to say if you haven't already guessed since it's a series, there was a moment at the end that changed everything. I have to say I was crying and screaming "NOOOO!!!" at the top of my lunges after I finished reading it. It was completely upsetting, and I am now dying to read the second book.
I don't want to say much else, because that would be spoiler-y, and I don't like spoilers. If you liked my review, or decide to pick up a copy of Lunangelique let me know what you think.
I feel as if everyone should read this book, ASAP. With only 214 pages it's a quick, yet amazing read. Plus you need to support all the amazing Indie authors out there and Kristen Campbell is one of them. To find out more about the author and her books visit her website. ~~~ By Reese's Reviews

Mrs. Campbell manages to continue her story with brilliance and left me begging for more at the end. I laughed out loud several times and cried with Lexi in others. I look forward to the conclusion of this series and any future writing from the author. She has, in just 2 books, gained a reader for life!

First Review by Megan @ Love, Literature, Art and Reason
I am so in love with this series. I devoured both books in less than two days. In fact, I was about 30% done last night and the FIRST thing I did this morning was pick up the book and finish it. I could not wait to finish. I also think I had dreams about it last night, actually.
Alexis tries to mend her broken heart after Cole leaves her. It was incredibly heart wrenching to watch her try to pull herself together. A slight love triangle develops as Alexis struggles with her emotions and attempts to move on. It wasn't the annoying kind of love triangle where the heroine has no idea what she wants and what she is doing. It's the kind of love triangle that I can understand and empthasize with, even though it sucks and she makes me want to scream.
I couldn't stand Patryck at all. I understood why Alexis tried to move on with him in her life and he was a great friend and tried to protect her, but I hated him. Alexis uses the talent she discovered she had in the first book to try and pull herself together, but she didn't fool me at all. I knew she still loved Cole, even when she tried not to think about it. Because the book is from Lexi's point of view and she was definitely suppressing her emotions, it was quite the interesting read. Luckily, there was much action and drama regarding the supernatural and mythological aspects of her and Alex's life to distract everyone and keep them focused.
Alex and Alexis are tasked with waking the sleeping gods. But it ends up being much more complicated than it seems. The reader finds out new things about the twins and the way their new world works. They discover new alliances and have heavy decisions to make. All while trying to be as normal as possible and tour Europe together as planned after they graduated high school.
Part of the book is written from Cole's point of view. I loved him as a narrator and it tore my heart out to watch him observe Lexi from afar, as she attempts to move on without him. His attitude about a lot of things changes and even though I loved him in book one, I loved him even more in this book. He was incredibly challenging.
The first book in this series was awesome as I got to watch Alexis and Alex discover a bunch of new things about themselves, their origins, and their family. It was pretty cool to discover you are more than just a regular person. But book two is much heftier and mature. The newness and awesomeness of discovering you aren't normal was gone and the twins realize just what kind of challenges face them. If ever they thought they could lead normal lives, they quickly realize that is not the case at all in this sequel. I liked this aspect a lot and I enjoyed learning more and watching the characters grow.
This series is highly addictive. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys YA fiction with supernatural and mythological elements mixed with coming of age and romance. It is well written and the narration flows effortlessly. It's almost Percy Jackson and the Olympians by Rick Riordan meets Fallen by Lauren Kate, but also much more. It's full of action, emotion, love, heartbreak, revelations, pain, and maturity. The cover is also absolutely stunning. I can't rave about this series enough. I also cannot wait for the next book in the series to come out!

Awakened Gods
Lexi has fulfilled her destiny and now the gods have awakened, but is that a good thing?
Now, Lexi lives in a world that is on a global collapse. The gods are angry that they have been forsaken and are seeking revenge on humanity. The oceans are in turmoil, tornadoes, earthquakes, hurricanes, volcanic eruptions, and famine are causing global chaos; and the sun is being held hostage in a phenomenal, never-ending, solar eclipse by the avenging Helios.
Then, there is the problem of Zeus’ threat: Lexi must choose between giving herself to him or watching the “abominable” angels die by his hand. Not to mention, Hera, Zeus’ wife, is proposing her own jealous-driven proposition to Lexi: stay away from her husband or the angels and everyone dear to her will die. Lexi sees no way out of either predicaments and it puts a strain on her relationship with Cole. Will she lose him either way?
