Kristin R. Campbell
I am currently an editor, blogger, and author with two children. I was born in San Diego, California to a military family. When I was five, my father, a Navy Seal, was transferred to Virginia where we lived for the next twenty-three years. Just about everyone in my family has served in the military, and so I have lived in almost all corners and coasts of the United States; mostly all over Virginia. I went to fourteen schools growing up and four different colleges. On September 12, 2001, the day after 9/11, I found myself in front of the Navy recruiting office. I spent the next fives years active duty, married, had two kids, and then went to school full-time before starting my own editing business, which I still do today.
Most of the time, I am editing, but during those 20-something days out of the year when I have no work (yeah, no, I am NOT joking), I am trying to finish writing a damn book. I have so many more ideas, and I hope I will be able see them come to life one day.
I want to try and test my limits on writing, switching from first-person to third, researching for hours on end to get details right, and writing some novels just for fun, like Lunangelique has been. I love seeing the characters come to life. They literally tell me, "I don't want to be like that," and change the outcome of the story. It's fascinating. I didn't think writing would be like that. I have no control. The characters are the writers.
